API Terms / Acceptable Use Policy

1. Relationship to the Terms of Service
These API Terms supplement the Carrier Lookout Terms of Service. Use of the API is subject to both. If they conflict, these API Terms control as to the API.
2. API Access
API access is available for approved integrations and requires an authorized API key and secret. Credentials are provisioned per approved integration. API access deactivates if your subscription expires, is canceled past its period end, or has billing issues.
3. Credential Security
You are responsible for keeping your API secret confidential. Do not embed credentials in client-side code. Regenerate your secret immediately if you believe it has been exposed. Notify us promptly at support@loadmanager.com if you suspect a compromise.
4. Acceptable Use
Do not resell, redistribute, or republish carrier data outside your organization without written permission. Do not attempt to circumvent rate limits, scrape beyond documented endpoints, or use the API to build a competing carrier data service.
5. Data Use
API data is for your organization's internal carrier-vetting use and is subject to the data disclaimers and limitation of liability in the Terms of Service. You are responsible for all activity under your credentials.
6. Rate Limits and Availability
Rate limits are published in the API documentation and may change with reasonable notice. We may throttle or temporarily suspend requests that exceed limits or threaten Service stability. The API is provided "as is" without any uptime or service-level commitment unless agreed in a separate signed agreement. We may modify or deprecate endpoints and will make reasonable efforts to give 30 days' notice of breaking changes.
7. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or revoke API keys immediately for security risk, abuse, non-payment, or breach of these terms. API access ends automatically when your subscription ends. On termination, you must stop using the API and delete cached carrier data except as needed for your internal records of past transactions.
