FAQ
Frequently asked questions
- How does the free first month work?
- A one-time $30 setup fee is charged today at checkout. Your first month is free, then your plan's monthly price begins (Solo is $89/month after the free month). Billing is monthly only.
- How is Carrier Lookout priced?
- Pricing is based on team size, and every plan includes unlimited carriers. Solo is $89/month for 1 user, Team is $149/month for up to 3 users, Business is $249/month for up to 10 users, Pro Office is $399/month for up to 20 users. Additional users can be added to any plan for $20/user/month.
- Are carriers really unlimited?
- Yes. Every plan includes unlimited carriers — search, review, and monitor as many carriers as your operation needs. There are no monitored-carrier limits on any plan.
- Can I connect Carrier Lookout to my TMS?
- Yes. Carrier Lookout already integrates with Load Manager TMS. Need to connect another TMS or an internal system? API access is available for approved integrations — contact us and we can help connect Carrier Lookout to your workflow.
- What if I need more users than my plan includes?
- You're never blocked from adding someone. Additional users beyond your plan's included seats are billed at $20/user/month, and you can upgrade to a larger plan anytime from the portal.
- Can I bundle carrier onboarding?
- Yes. Add Onboard Carrier for only $49/month. Review carriers with Carrier Lookout, then collect carrier packets, documents, insurance, W-9s, and onboarding requirements with Onboard Carrier. Bundled pricing is shown on the pricing page.
- Does Carrier Lookout integrate with my TMS?
- Load Manager TMS is the featured integration. Other TMS connections require approval and a supported implementation review; compatibility is not guaranteed for every system. Contact us to discuss your workflow.
- Where does the carrier data come from?
- Carrier Lookout helps organize and display carrier authority, insurance, safety, and compliance data from trusted industry sources, including FMCSA-related data where available.
- What happens when I cancel?
- Your subscription remains active until the end of your paid billing period. After that date, dashboard access, carrier monitoring, and API access are deactivated. You can reactivate from the portal — before expiration, access continues without interruption.
- Is my data kept if my account becomes inactive?
- Yes. Inactive and canceled account data — carrier lists, lookup history, alert history, users, API credential status, and billing history — is kept for at least 12 months, with a warning email before any permanent deletion.
- How do email alerts work?
- Critical alerts go to account admins by default, and admins choose which users receive alert emails. Everyone on your team can see alerts in the portal inbox. SMS alerts are not offered at launch.
